Who we are / History

Progress Plant Ltd, as we are now known, was formerly PJC Plant Services. We were established in January 1984, initially to provide Plant Hire and Small Tool Hire to our former sister company, Paul John Construction. We swiftly saw the gap in the market and offered supplies to our now extensive external customers base.

In 2022 an MBO took place and saw Simon Phillips and Daniel Hartley take full reigns of the business, with that came the name change to Progress Plant Ltd to mark the beginning of a new era.

With a well-respected reputation throughout the East and West Midlands for reliability, personal service, and product knowledge the business has gone from strength to strength with an open view to diversify where applicable to cope with the demands of the construction industry through some tough times.

With a dedication and an enthusiasm for the industry, our ethos is to be a key cog in a selective customers supply chain and provide safe and reliable machines day in day out. Through the knowledge gained over the years and relationships built during that time we feel we have the expertise to deal with the demand of our clients both big and small and to thrive in achieving customer satisfaction .
